Fiction Writing Tips: The Rules of ThreeWritten by Catherine Rankovic
The questions of art are big, but the answers are small. Story writers, try these (my original discoveries):

2. Take your main characters to three distinctly different settings.
3. Have no more than three main characters.
Writer, with 30+ years' writing and publishing experience, 20+ years' teaching experience. Last book read: Mrs. Lincoln by Catherine Clinton.
